My dear daughter was my teacher helper all through my years of teaching in MI. Her last two years of highschool she was my official teacher aide for one of her study hall periods.
She was a wonderful help to me and the students loved her!
She was good at helping. She knew how to talk to the children with love and expectancy.
She was firm and could get them to try to do anything.
She has a gift. She has a love for children.
She knew how to connect with the students and help them.
I always loved having teacher helpers in my classroom. I enjoyed having Miss H, Miss J, Miss L, Miss M, Miss A, and Miss E spend time observing and serving in Kindergarten through the years. I always encouraged them to interact with the students and gave them jobs to do...because we all learn by doing! And I learned some fun things to do with my students as I watched these student teachers.
