This was the year that my class started the entire program for the school. I wrapped the lights around them and we walked up onto the stage during the opening prayer as the lights went down. I plugged them in and then they recited this poem.
It was the cutest thing ever!!! And they received laughter and applause as every single person there had experienced the frustration of Christmas lights that do not work after they are put in place! We went back later for our song.
Our school had and still has the tradition of singing "Come On, Ring Those Bells" altogether (students and staff) while the littlest ones ring bells. It is the ending to a busy first semester as we get ready for the two week Christmas vacation.
