that then turned into the remainder of the school year! It still seems surreal...and now that all the lies have come tumbling out...it makes me sick what we allowed to happen to our children. I am thankful that our school kept up with the academics and a routine that parents could use. It took a lot of work on the part of teachers! Our school was able to go back to normal classroom learning for the school year 2020-2021. I brought home all the special pieces and videoed each day and posted on our special page for my class. We finished their Kindergarten year with me teaching from our home! I spent the more shooting the videos and uploading.
In the afternoons, I often would share special activity videos to help parents keep their little ones entertained and still practicing learning. Play is something that many adults needed help with too! I also was able to finish reading our Mrs. Piggle Wiggle chapter books.
I did a video shoot so we could make chocolate chip cookies together...and we had a zoom call that was so exciting it made my head spin! So many special touches to make each day special during a time when the whole world was spinning out of control. We found out what was most important with the forced slow/shut down.
Parents did a great job juggling work schedules and child entertaining. We were so thankful that spring weather was mild and beautiful for getting outside to learn too.
