A little reminder

We can only have real joy when we live for Jesus and others!  When we live only thinking of our own selves, we are most miserable.  A selfish lifestyle is a lonely life.  We all want friends.  We all need friends. In order to have friends, we must show ourselves friendly.  Look to the best example for how we ought to treat others...Jesus!  He showed love to those that loved Him, and to those who hated Him and condemned Him to die on a cross.                      JESUS FIRST

When we focus on showing love to others, we are filled with a feeling of kindness.  We were talking about loving our neighbor and I asked, "Who is your neighbor?"  We decided that everyone around us is our neighbor!  There were so many places and people that my little friends shared with me.  Fact is,  we know all the right answers in our head, but we fall apart when it comes to practicing in daily life.  Since we are in Kindergarten and learning to read, I asked what word we make when we put ourselves first, others second, and forget about what Jesus asked us to do.  "YOJ? That's NOT a word!"  From the mouths of children!  When we "mess up" the order, we are doing things our way and eventually it isn't good enough and we look for something to make ourselves happy again.
