B is for Bread...and Butter!

I love making connections in learning!  We made homemade bread (rolls) as part of our phonics lesson.  We talked about the letter B...what sound it makes...words that start with the sound...and they played (kneaded) playdough.

We smelled the yeast.  We watched it get bubbly.  We added all the ingredients and followed all the directions.

We watched the rolls rise.  We smelled the yummy baked bread.  And the best part...warm rolls with melty butter..."It's the best day ever!"

"You have to give my Mom this recipe!  These are so good!"
