How fun to practice...especially with food! One of our favorite activities once we learned all our letters and letter sounds was to make words. We did this with letter tiles, stamps, and playdough.
Get the students out of their seats. Let them work together or separate to make words. Show them how and what to do...and then step back and let them work! Often...they help each other fix the mistakes that are made and encourage each other with "Hey, look what you did! You made a word!"
