Remembering to go ALL the way back to the thought that these little friends "Know nothing of how things are in Kindergarten!" The patience required to teach and train through each and every part of procedures and expectations is quickly depleted! Think, act, and speak in love.
Add some fun and laugh through it all with them! Take time! Practice, practice, practice!
Use fun things to practice...and it is ok if "your ducks are not all in a row!"
Provide lots of play between the structure!
Evaluate their listening skills with fun activities that reinforce all the things you teach those first hours and days.
Provide for success in the small ways!
